Sales Engineer - Project Manager

We\'re hiring a Sales Engineer-Project Manager who will be a princiepl liasion and help in the maintenance of relationships with IAC customers as well as cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers by understanding the customer\'s business goal and objectives. Communicating this information to the rest of the IAC team and recommend best practices from both a project and process standpoints. This position reports and works closely with the President/GM/Project Developer/Client Relations Manager. Customer satisfaction and knowledge of customer desires and concerns are a major part of this position. General Description: Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop project sales with new and existing accounts. • Provide controls expertise, quoting services, and sales representative duties. • Handle the full sales cycle service from lead generation and account management through conception, quoting, project budgeting, functional specifications, and final acceptance (customer satisfaction). • Develop controls skills and research new products to provide a competitive advantage to IAC and our customers. • Develop technical concepts, proposals, pricing, and other front-end work. Controls Engineers, Programmers, etc. may assist with proposal development, estimating, RFQ’s etc. • Serve as an integral member of the project team. • Provide communication between company and client. Communicate with other IAC team members effectively. Maintain the team relationship. Keep administration advised of schedule. • Check and use voice mail / e-mail diligently. • Communicate strategic information regarding suppliers, customers and competition. • Direct business development aspects of external projects. • Define project budgets, schedules and resource requirements. Compare/Review budgets to actual after project close-out, recommend pricing strategies, update metrics, etc. • Maintain written/electronic journal of pre-project assumptions, discussions and meetings to be passed on to the appropriate Project Lead. • Issue change orders and records of communication to keep all parties abreast of project variations. • Review contracts and ensure company’s performance is in accordance with contractual agreements. • Ensure project scopes are well defined and maintained. • Provide customer contact to evaluate progress and functionality of a project. • Obtain thorough understanding of IAC’s capabilities and vendor product information through training and personal efforts • Assist in the training of new IAC employees. • Continuous improvement of sales estimating tools, such as updates to price lists and databases • Follow-up on past due accounts with assistance from administrator. (If a Project Manager/Engineer is involved, assist them with follow-up) • Assist Project Managers/Engineers in coordinating quick resolutions to avoid scope creep, change orders or cost overruns, and technical issues with quoted control system as needed. • Visit site at startup time. Be the extra person that can help fill in to make the project successful and the customer happy • Continued training on controls and business applications such as Microsoft, Rockwell, etc • Network with business contacts (i.e. service organizations, government business resources, etc.). • Recruit and critique key suppliers of technology/software. • Maintain current copies of proposals and estimates on server • Maintain IAC customer database, merge duplicate accounts, update customer names, logical and consistent address format • Attend weekly production meeting and other scheduled meetings. • Complete all administrative tasks/paperwork in timely manner. Review billing forecast and invoicing reports. • High degree of professionalism in everything you do. Respected as a leader in the office based on product and customer knowledge and how you treat others. Liked and respected by IAC customers and suppliers on a wide level. • Cultivate the relationship with IAC Marketing department for sales presentations, HMI’s, renderings, marketing tools, etc. • Define winning opportunities for investment in new developments, products, and markets. • Complete Personal, IAC, and Strategic goals as assigned. • Pursue relevant professional certifications • Help recruit new exceptional talent to IAC. We're hiring an IT Programmer who will provide the additional support for control system and data acquisition projects as well as assist in the development and software enhancement of a project. This position will report to Lead Programmers and Project managers for troubleshooting, customer satisfaction and finished projects. Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop assigned software code structure and code as assigned. • Assist Lead Programmer with interface development, integration with hardware, software performance analysis. • Research and evaluate software development tools. • Report to the Lead Programmer/ Project Lead. • Responsible for maintaining project quality on assigned projects Requirements: • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. This position includes developing project estimates and bid proposals, defining project budgets and attending key events such as tradeshows and conferences within targeted industries.
