General Description:

Technical team leader who is responsible for the successful implementation of the engineering aspects associated with projects assigned. Areas of responsibility include design, development, and supervision of all aspects of control systems, equipment, and processes for which they operate.

Major Activities:
• Technical lead on large projects (>$500k)
• Provide Technical Training to other engineers
• Develop technical standards (hardware and software)
• Utilizing available resources, quickly drive technical issues to resolution
• Able to organize work for multiple projects, flexible and efficient, with ability to prioritize and work unsupervised
• Able to quickly grasp new and complex situations and technologies, appetite for knowledge and self development
• Able to interface with customer, address issues as they arise, resolve conflict, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Work as part of team, willing to share knowledge
• Follow established project management policies and procedures
• Lead or mentor the development of project requirements with customer
• Lead or mentor the development hardware and software architecture
• Lead internal design reviews and external design reviews with customer
• Review and approve design documents
• Perform software peer reviews
• Develop and implement in-house test plans

Technical Skills:
• PLC Programming (Siemens, AB, Modicon, GE, etc)
• HMI Programming
• SCADA Programming (Citect, Intellution, WonderWare, WinCC)
• Higher Level Languages (VB, C, C++)
• Database Design and Query
• Networking (protocols, infrastructure, Bus I/O)
• Electrical Control System Design
• Drives
• Telemetry (MOSCAD, MDS, etc)

Time Management:
• Essential use of time is required

Self Organization:
• Plan each week, day, and month
• Dress professionally
• Present a professional Image for yourself and Edison Automation
• Prepare for and participate in the weekly “Project Management” meeting and Monthly Review session

Administrative:
• Maintain customer profiles and files
• Submit the following in a timely manner and incompliance with all Edison policies and procedures: expense reports, service reports, timesheets
• Use information technology and tools to save time

Company Relations:
• Comply with all company policies and procedures and operate within the expense budget
• Work with, develop positive relationships with, communicate with, and coordinate activities with other employees from all departments
• Identify problems or issues early and report them promptly to management
