TechRep Components, Inc. (TCI) is a professional sales and application engineering company specializing in the sales of motion and control components and systems manufacturers. Our goal is to continue to be one of the premiere sales groups in our specialty field.
Founded in 1973, TCI has enjoyed steady growth and continued success. Effective utilization of our sales engineers' time is a crucial factor in achieving our sales goals. By concentrating TechRep’s efforts in the field of motion control and by representing companies whose products are complementary, our sales engineers achieve maximum account penetration. Since each account is a potential customer for multiple products, line synergism allows TechRep to service customers with both large and small potential.
TechRep is in touch with both the product design and factory automation side of our customers’ organization. By obtaining an overview of the business and by developing a rapport with the customer's management, engineering and purchasing departments, many of these customers have become strong advocates for the companies we represent. The result is that TechRep has become a valuable resource for both the customer and the principal.
Because of our focus on motion and control components, and because we have been serving the California, Arizona, and Nevada marketplaces since 1973, we are able to identify potential customers. Our OEM customers are not limited to any specific market. We have a multi-market thrust.
With our factory automation products and systems, we call on all types of manufacturing facilities. These same market segments are alert to the importance of reducing costs through automation. These are successful customers, winners in the marketplace and they will remain our active manufacturing customers.
TechRep believes that the most effective use of our sales engineers time is to be in front of the customer selling and servicing the accounts. To facilitate this concept we have established four offices. They are located in Lomita (Southern California), San Diego, Northern California and Arizona.
The Lomita, (Torrance) California office is our corporate headquarters. We have a full-time staff including a technical support engineer available to assist customers, principals and our outside sales engineers. Our computerized accounting and sales tracking system is located at this location. Each office and salesperson is fully supported by current computer and communications technology. To facilitate your ability to communicate with us is a top priority.
TechRep participates with its principals in industry exhibits and trade shows to further expose our products to the regional customer base. TechRep has been an active member of the Electronic Representatives Association since 1974 and is a regular exhibitor in ERA's regional and “in plant” shows.
