Modular Industrial Computers, the “Leaders’ Choice” for plant floor computing, announces new models to its successful line of NEMA 4X workstations. The FS PowerBox 17-HP and FS PowerBox 19-HP combine the proven, award winning, FS (Field Serviceable) PowerBox platform with Hewlett Packard’s (HP) T5740. The system is shipped fully assembled, tested and ready for quick installation into the most demanding industrial applications.
The FS PowerBox has proven itself as the most flexible, cost effective solution for companies looking to deploy Thin Clients into the harsh environments found in Food, Meat, Poultry and Pharmaceutical plants. Constructed of 304 Stainless steel, with sloped top, gutter/ gasket door system, the FS PowerBox is designed to meet NEMA 4X/IP69K standards and will provide years of reliable operation while undergoing daily sanitation.
The FS PowerBox is available with either a 17” or 19” Industrial LCD monitor and optional ELO resistive touchscreen. Internally, the FS PowerBox features a universal VESA mounting system, power distribution terminal block with plug in receptacle, and circulation fan. Field I/O is connected via a flexible cable gland or quick disconnect NEMA 4 rated connectors.
HP’s T5740 Thin Client is installed and secured at our factory, making installation quick and easy. The T5740 is HP’s most versatile Thin Client computer. It features the Intel Atom N280/ 1.6Ghz processor, 2GB, and flexible USB ports for field devices like keyboards, touchscreens and barcode scan guns. Embedded software protocols include Windows® Embedded Standard 2009, Citrix ICA 11.0 (XenApp Plug-in for Hosted Apps 11.0) Microsoft RDP 6.1, Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, Windows Media Player 11 and HP TeemTalk Terminal Emulator 7. Important to any plant installation, is a flexible mounting system. Modular has a complete line of wall, floor, articulated arm and ceiling mounts, each ergonomically designed for long years of user satisfaction. The 17-HP is available, starting at $1,675. The 19-HP start at $1,925. The 17-HP and 19-HP carry a 3 year, factory warranty.
