Kardex Remstar Lewistown Plant Listed As Approved Manufacturing Location For Lektriever Elf
The Kardex Remstar TÜV certificate now lists the company’s Lewistown, Pennsylvania plant (#73491) as an approved manufacturing location for the Lektriever® Electric Lateral File (ELF) system.
Technischer Überwachungs-Verein, or Technical Inspection Associations, are German organizations that work to validate the safety of products of all kinds to protect people and the environment against hazards. TÜV certification indicates that the product has been evaluated against a wide range of standards, including NFPA, UL, ANSI, CSA, EC, EN ISO, and EN. A label from the Lewistown plant will be applied to Lektriever ELF models 115 and 120 showing basic compliance to the standards with an adjacent secondary label showing all of the standards for which the specific machine has been tested or certified.
The Lektriever ELF is a series of vertically arranged rotating shelves controlled by an electronic keypad that delivers files to the operator at an ergonomically positioned work counter for easy access, eliminating walking, searching and bending. Its vertical design can increase the capacity of existing filing and storage areas by up to 33% and improve filing productivity up to 66%.
