Ewon 2005cd With 3g Cellular Connection Now Available At 2g Prices
eWON, a leading Belgian manufacturer of remote connectivity products for the automation market, announces that the 2G (GPRS/EDGE) version of its highly popular eWON 2005CD industrial router is to be replaced by a new 3G (UMTS) version, at the same price. The replacement will be effective as of November 1st 2011.
This new 3G version will complete the eWON 2005CD cellular product range, alongside the existing eWON 2005CD 3G+ (HSDPA/HSUPA) version .
This technology step up lets the eWON 2005CD multiply the bandwidth available for communication, offering users, typically machine builders & OEMs, the benefits of more fluidity in interactive PLC program maintenance and more convenience in remote customer support .
Both the eWON 2005CD 3G and 3G+ models require standard SIM cards and are backward compatible with 2G networks (GPRS & EDGE). Remote access is facilitated by the use of Talk2M, a cloud-based service making remote access across the Internet as easy as dialing up a modem.
“Our eWON 2005CD with built-in 3G cellular modem provides machine builders/SI with entry level pricing for broadband cellular remote access when LAN Internet access is not available,” explained Francis Vander Ghinst, Head of Global Sales Ops.
With a global presence in more than 35 countries around the world, eWON enables compatibility with 3G and 3G+ networks all over the globe.
