This compact industrial router is designed to give OEM’s, system integrators and architects a highly flexible, yet cost effective device to achieve a straightforward remote Internet access through a Local Area Network. The eWON 2005CD is a comprehensive industrial router featuring “Site” LAN to “Machine” LAN routing functionalities with VPN tunneling features.
The router offers a WAN Ethernet port which allows a smooth connection to the Internet through the local IT network (site or factory LAN) and its firewalls. In combination with eWON’s Talk2M Free or Talk2M Pro services, duly authorized users can then access any of their machines, devices and installations equipped with 2005CD devices over a quality broadband and secure connection over LAN or mobile Internet. The combination of eWON devices and Talk2M service provide a unique solution for effective remote access and bypassing the complexity that may exist within site specific IT network infrastructures.
The eWON 2005CD allows maintenance of Allen Bradley and other PLCs as if you were literally standing next to the machine: using programming and setup tools, transparent communication connectivity with most serial or Ethernet PLCs and protocols (Modbus RTU-TCP, DF1-UnitelWay, Fins Hostlink-Fins TCP, MPI/PPI/Profibus-Isotcp).
The web connectivity service is secured by VPN tunnel and provides reliable and secure communication at reduced costs which is typically used by OEM’s and end users to enable remote diagnosis and remote support. An optional embedded modem provides secondary or back up remote access to the “Machine” LAN, offering a powerful dual LAN/Modem connectivity. The eWON 2005CD has a built-in Web server for configuration/HMI purposes and FTP functionalities for easy remote device management like files management. Seamlessly integrated with the PLC programming environment, the eWON 4005CD version monitors and collects data into internal tags while PLC maintenance is performed. The 4005CD features data logger and animated web HMI capabilities which provide perfect device for monitoring machine or site operations and setup alarm notification for selected issues that warrant urgent attention as and when they arise.
