Advanced Robotics
Mitsubishi has taken a major leap in automated assembly with an advanced load cell system. Using a 3 dimensional load cell and advanced controller, assemblies that were at best, difficult, or at worst, impossible, are now achievable with Mitsubishi's state-of-the-art RV-F 6 axis robots.
Robots are now available with a three year, onsite warranty!
A stand-alone load cell controller connected via Mitsubishi's SSCNET III fiber optic network (used for their high speed motion control) provides the interface that allows the forces in all directions to be relayed to the robot to make the assembly possible.
An extensive set of parameters can be used to limit forces, adjust stiffness and gain, provide interrupts, monitor position versus force, logging data and more. Not to be confused with force limits or compliancy which are other capabilities of the Mitsubishi F series robots, this is an advanced system that takes assembly to the next level.
Meeting the latest is ANSI/RIA and ISO safety standards for robotics, Mitsubishi robots meet the demands other robots lack.
Combine the robot to the Mitsubishi MES IT data collection system where manufacturing data is automatically sent to a MS SQL database and you have an extremely advanced but simple system for manufacturing data .
